Electronic FOID applications are available on the Illinois State Police website.
If you would like assistance in filling out your electronic application online, you may come into our store on Saturdays from 3:00pm-5:30pm or Thursdays from 1:00pm-4:30pm and we will assist you in doing so, at no charge for the assistance. No appointment necessary. You will be responsible for the online payment to the ISP in the amount of $11 for the application, or $6 for a name or address change. Schedule may be subject to change.
Please call in advance to verify, as the Illinois State Police website is occasionally down for maintenance.
Please be prepared with the following:
- Must have IL Drivers License or IL State ID with current address.
- Must have an e-mail address
- Must have credit card, debit or checking account to pay the Illinois State Police fee of $11.00. Address change is $6.00. NO CASH ACCEPTED.
- For FOID address changes, must bring current FOID and updated Drivers’ License or State ID.
- If you have previously logged into the ISP website, you will need your username. If you do not know your username, you’ll need a different email address.
